Troy Risner joined the Camdenton board of education in June 2020. He is a native of the Lake of the Ozarks area and a Camdenton graduate. Mr. Risner has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and has 29 years’ experience as a Senior Engineer in a high-tech company called KLA Corporation out of Silicon Valley California. Mr. Risner helps design and support machines that make Integrated Semiconductors. He works remotely from Camdenton with an occasional trip to one of their customer sites worldwide. Mr. Risner is a world traveler and has been to multiple countries throughout Europe and Asia.

Mr. Risner has served hundreds of hours of volunteer work in such programs as the Buddy Pack program, Project Graduation, the Education Foundation, and our Pride of the Lake Band programs to name a few. Also, since 2016, he continues to volunteer his time assisting the school as an Event Staff Engineer. His expertise areas of our district are the RC Worthan Auditorium in the HS and the Little Theater in the MS, but he is also crucial for helping set up our large events like Elegant Evening, Veterans Day, and Graduation.

Mr. Risner and his wife Jennifer have five children. They are all Laker graduates now and doing well. Mr. and Mrs. Risner were both very involved in every step of their children’s education.

There are several of you who may know Mr. Risner through his family heritage at the Lake of the Ozarks. He is a seventh generation resident at the Lake and his family has some interesting history here. It was at his great-grandfather Clyde Foster’s restaurant in old Linn Creek that Union Electric made the announcement to the locals that they were damming up the Osage River and creating a hydro-electric plant creating the Lake of the Ozarks. His Grandfather Buford Foster was one of the pioneers to build a marina and campground here and promoted tourism of our lake area.

Mr. Risner is carrying on a legacy as a member of the Camdenton Board of Education as he has four other family members who have also served. His Grandfather Jim Risner, Aunt Nickie Foster, Aunt Janny Drover, and Cousin John Blair.

Callie Henze joined the Board of Education in June 2020, to serve a three-year term. She was born and raised in Camdenton and is a Camdenton High School graduate. Mrs. Henze attended Lindenwood University where she majored in Mass Communications. In 2005, she realized her passion for Real Estate, which has led her to her career at Shore to Shore LOZ with eXp Realty. Having three children in the school district, Callie has been very involved in the classroom. Not only as a parent, but as a volunteer, as well as substitute teaching in the district. She is a strong advocate for parental rights and building relationships with teachers and staff is one of her top priorities.

Mrs. Henze is married to her husband Jonathan, who is retired from the United States Marine Corps. As a family they enjoy their time together fishing, riding bikes, and playing on the beach.

Jacob Neusche is serving his first term on the Camdenton School Board as Treasurer and is looking forward to reinvesting in the community that invested in him. He is a Camdenton Laker graduate, a proud Football and Speech and Debate Alumni, a passionate Laker parent to Taylor and Luke, and a supportive spouse of a Camdenton School Counselor, Cory.

Jacob has spent the last 15 years in finance, currently a Vice President at a local community bank. He earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. For the last eight years, he volunteered to serve on the Camden County Planning and Zoning Board, and prior to that, volunteered with the Lake Ozark Regional Economic Development Council. In his spare time, Jacob enjoys spending time with his family boating, hiking, and grilling.

Shelley Creed was elected to a three-year term in April 2023.  Honored to have followed her calling as an educator for over thirty years, Mrs. Creed and her husband Mike are proud parents of three Laker graduates.  Blessed with twelve grandchildren, she is thrilled that four of those currently carry on the Laker legacy for her family.  

A Kansas City area native, Mrs. Creed graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University; received her M. Ed. in Gifted Education from Drury University; as a lifelong learner, having taught for over twenty-five years, she continued her education by earning her Educational Specialist’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln University.  Mrs. Creed has been affiliated with numerous local, state, and national educational associations and served as a Board member and officer for many.  

During her professional career, Mrs. Creed was a nominee and Missouri finalist for Disney’s Teacher of the Year, recognized as an honoree and Noted Educator by the Missouri House of Representatives, voted Silver Recipient of “Best of the Lake” Educator, and acclaimed and awarded a scholarship by the Gifted Association of Missouri for her outstanding contributions to the field of gifted education in Missouri.  Mrs. Creed established the Capstone Center for Gifted Education for Camdenton R-III Schools; she recognized a need and created Camdenton’s annual Snowball Retreat, bringing hundreds of classroom teachers, counselors, and administrators to the lake area to celebrate, support, and train Missouri colleagues to better meet the challenges of effectively serving the needs of diverse learners.  Professionally, she has taught in four acclaimed public school districts in Kansas and Missouri.  Her volunteer services have impacted community, church, and civic entities wherever she has lived. 

Mrs. Creed finds her most fulfilling roles to be those of wife, mother, and grandmother; she cherishes family time.  She loves theater, music, and as avid sports fans, she and her husband Mike can frequently be found in the stands cheering on the Lakers; they closely follow football as grandsons play for the Utah State Aggies, and Tennessee Vols.  

Shelley Creed’s passion for kids, colleagues, and community runs deep.  She reflects on her professional career as both a calling and a blessing.  She is honored to find this season of her life committed to service as a Board Member for Camdenton R-III Schools. 

Brian is a lifelong resident of Camden County, with the only exceptions being college and military service. He and his wife, Catrina, met in high school and married shortly after both graduated from Camdenton. They have two children in the school district who are 4th generation Lakers. Brian holds professional licenses in Land Surveying and Law Enforcement. He displays his love of, pride in, and gratitude to the school district and community unapologetically, as he believes they are a huge part of shaping his values.

Eric Walters joined the Board of Education in April 2019, to serve a three-year term. During his time as a board member, Eric has served on several committees including:

• Teacher Advisory Committee Board Representative for three years
• Camdenton R-III School District Education Foundation for two years
• Board Finance Committee for two years 
• Camdenton Classified Employees Association Board Representative for three years
• Teacher Impact Grant and Blair Trust Scholarship committees

Through his experience on these committees and as a board member, Eric has learned so much about the amazing students, staff, parents, and community partners in this district. Eric has enjoyed opportunities to support and advocate for members of this district and is very thankful for this volunteer opportunity. Most importantly, Eric believes that students experience the best educational experience when they are supported by their local community and he always wants to be a part of that support system.

Eric is a proud Laker and chose Camdenton as the home for his family. Eric is married to Shayla who is the Operations Facilitator at Lake Career & Technical Center on the Camdenton R-III School District campus. Their oldest son Grant, is a 2021 graduate of Camdenton High School and now attends Drury University as a student and athlete. Their youngest son, Cyrus is in the second grade at Dogwood Elementary. 

Eric has volunteered for the Camdenton Wrestling Club for the last thirteen years, serving both as a coach and as president of the club. He has also served as a volunteer varsity wrestling coach at Camdenton High School for three years. As a kid who grew up always involved in extra-curricular activities, Eric has a passion for supporting young athletes and providing them with opportunities to succeed on and off the wrestling mats.

When Eric isn’t coaching, he loves to spend time with his family outdoors camping, hiking and fishing in any lake or river near the campsite.

Linda Leu has been Secretary to the Superintendent of Camdenton R-III Schools since August 2009. She also serves as Secretary to the Board of Education and Acting Secretary for the Education Foundation. Previously Linda was Secretary to the Superintendent and the Board at the Shelby County R-IV School District for 19 years. Linda is a member of and past officer of the Camdenton Classified Employee's Association.

Linda is married to Gary and they have five children, seventeen grandchildren, and one dog Moxie.

Lexi Keeth is a Junior at Camdenton High School and has attended the school district for 11 years. She is Vice President of Camdenton LASER 3284 Robotics, a CHS Varsity cheerleader, and is involved with the prom committee. Lexi loves spending time with her family and friends, reading, building Legos, and meeting new people. Her parents Janelle Keeth and Kris Keeth are both well-respected Camdenton alumni. Her family fosters young boys ages 9-13 who also reside in the Camdenton R-III School District. Lexi plans on furthering her education by attending Saint Louis University for 4 undergraduate years and then attending medical school to become a pediatric cardiologist. Lexi is interested in representing her peers in a respectful and informational manner.

Meagan Thompson is currently a Senior at Camdenton High School and has gone to Camdenton since 2012. Meagan is involved in DECA and is the president of FCCLA at the LCTC. Meagan is the daughter of Lindsey Webster-Dillon and David Thompson. Meagan has no siblings but does have an uncle, Steven Thompson, 12th grade, and a cousin, Cooper Thompson, 3rd grade also in the Camdenton school district. Meagan enjoys traveling, reading, and swimming during the summer. As a future career she hopes to come back to Camdenton to be a preschool teacher.
